Love Her
Aphrodite the beauty queen
The popular girl with gold hair and white teeth
How messy could her life be?
It was messy indeed.
No one seems to see that her teeth are falling from the way she's hunched over a quarter after three
And her hair is falling off from all of the bleach
Hera stopped trying
Athena stopped knocking
"Why won't you just eat?"
Maybe her hair wouldn't fall if she just chose to eat
Maybe she would finally feel complete
Since she was little, society formed a standard about how beautiful she must be
Like it was a guarantee that she would be loved and feel glee
But she was a moody teen who wanted to flee all the standards they had built
Unsuccessfully she conformed herself due to the guilt
Aphrodite is only sixteen
Her weight should not be her epitome
She feels unseen even if she's all everyone sees
Aphrodite the beauty queen hunched over the bathroom toilet a quarter after three
What a sad little picture for a beauty queen
