Love Hurts

I wish I could say

That love has not destroyed me

But that is not true

For I have let love tear me apart

Ripping my heart to pieces

Feeling as if I am not strong enough to hold on

Some people told me to never fall in love

But I turned my back, and pushed them away

Refusing to listen to a word they say

Now I wish I had listened

Because if I had, I wouldn't feel so lost

I wouldn't depend on the feeling of love

To keep me going everyday
