Love Hurts

Love smacked me in the face today

It left a huge red mark

It laughed at me

Love broke my heart

Love was once very kind and sweet

I was so quickly drawn in

Love pulled the wool over my eyes

Then struck me on the chin

Love knocked me down

Do I dare get up once more?

I will try again

Love please open another door.
