Love Hurts
He said he loved me, oh how happy I was
Out of all the boys out there, him right there I could trust.
He was so sweet at first, calling me every night
We only loved, we didn’t fuss nor fight.
The day came when we took it to the next step
Oh how my love for him was so in depth.
He took my virginity and I got attached
I sit here and wish if I could only take that day back.
Now I’m in the clinic, because my stomach had so many pains
I keep looking at my mother because I know she’s ashamed.
Received the worst news in my life, never thought it would be me
The doctor simply said, “You have an STD.”
1 minute seemed like 10 hours
All I wanted to do then was go home and take a long shower.
I felt dirty and dumb
Because I wanted to be “In love” and give him some.
I later found out he just loved the sex
That his love was simply not the best.
So Ladies, pull up your pants and pull down your skirts
Take it from me, love does hurt.
