Love, I

Dear Joy, please stay

I like having you around

Your words are kind

Actions are nice

I ask you to stay for now

Dear Anger, please leave

You complicate my life

You leave people asking why

You hurt others

You hurt me

Everything you touch

just dies

Dear Sadness, why must you always arrive

When joy is near and anger is far

You show up at my door

I never invite you yet you come

oh sadness, leave me alone

Dear love, stay longer

You give me passion

You give me hope

You make things right

When it all starts off wrong

Dear self, more than anything

I ask you to help

teach these feelings to get along

So my heart and head can live

in harmony

in peace

in safety

I look forward to hearing back from you

Love,

I
