A Love I Cannot Live Without

When we met

I had decided I was in over my hair

But within months

I realized that I worthy of the task of repair

It wasn't his beauty that gave me hope

And it wasn't his grace

It was the way it felt when he looked at me

And I saw love and pride written on his face

He holds me when I'm scared

But pushes me into life

And without him, I know

That I would have kissed this chance goodbye

Love doesn't fix people

Not alone, at least

But he cut the rope, gave me hope

And now, I can finally feel peace
