The love I lost.

It was a normal game day

Getting ready to go.

nothing felt different,

soon we would play.

The court was my home,

my life, my love.

It was who I was,

it was my saving grace.

3 minutes left to go in the half

I got the ball on the run.

About to shoot, then I stepped wrong,

Heard the pop, felt the agony.

Fell to the ground, frozen solid.

I could get up, I could walk

Who would've known that would be it.

Last time on the court,

it was worse than I thought.

Now just looking at a basketball

chokes me up, and tears me apart.

It is hard to handle,

loosing your love..

cherish it forever,

for I'll be on the court again, never.
