Love is Insane

To my dearest beloved:

You say you’ll be fine

You say it’s not an issue

You say you’ll survive

And you say no point to worry

But I know it’s not true

I know you struggle

I know you feel pain

I know you go too high

And I know you go too low

I wish you would tell me what irks you

What bothers you

What pains you

But you don’t

It makes

Me feel

So helpless

Like I’m caught

Under a rock

Drowning

Love is beautiful

Love is fulfilling

It’s special

It’s kind

And it fills me with joy

But love is messy

It can be pain

It can be hurt

It can be tears running down your shirt

But most of all

Love is commitment

It means feeling that pain together

Two souls connected as one

And I wish you knew that

I really wish you did

Love always,

Cam
