This Is Love, Its True
This isn’t your ordinary love story,
Not one that’s quite as corny.
Or even close to a fairy tale,
Not even one that ends with someone in Jail.
It starts with wanting consistency,
And defiantly involving exposing oneself indecently.
An understanding that it’s just a “sexationship,”
A mutual understanding that was built on friendship.
Soon the feelings bloom,
Just as the roses he bought me one afternoon.
Wishing you could go back to feeling nothing,
Instead you find yourself blushing.
Turning red at the thought of a future,
With my perfectly perfect suiter.
Almost two years and it isn’t fair,
I love him more than even my heart can bare.
With every kiss and every hug,
With his smile so smug.
He has stolen my heart and I don’t want it back,
I have found something I didn’t even know that I lacked.
When I look deep in his eyes so blue,
I know that he truly loves me too.
