Love Kills

I wonder how you came to be
for your stone cold heart doesn’t seem to beat.
There’s a chunk of ice in you chest,
frozen so cold
you will never rest.
The Love I gave you
could never undo
the hate that sits inside of you.

My heart was full of
that sticky liquid
and my veins
heaved in my chest
but mostly it was full warmth
a deep heat,
Love
I felt for you,
till you chilled me too.
You froze me in the depths of time
where I now reside.

Icicles now hand from my veins
and my blood is stained.
Your worms weaved inside of me
tearing me apart at the seams.
A stone cold heart now rests in my chest,
I should have guessed
my love for you
would kill me too.
