Love Lessons

Why does my brain torture me with memories and emotions that are irretrievable

I know that if I go back to you that It will end the same way,

In pain

But I still love you so much that I convince myself that it’s okay

And that I can just deal with it each time when that is not the case

I know you don’t love me and that I am just a distraction until a better option comes along

But I keep thinking maybe one day you’ll stay and realize there is no one that can love you as much as I can.

But that day will never come
