A Love Letter

My dear,

What a wonder you are.

You have become a part of my life,

I would be in a haze every day without you.

Every morning I wake up to your sweet smell.

Your smoothness calms me as I feel you on my lips.

I hold you close to me, so your warmth may warm my body in the cold bitter morning.

It is as if you were made especially for me -

Your special sweetness, your rough bitterness, the deepness of your body – it is all perfection.

You are simple, but that’s the way I like it, a simple combination yet a magnificent creation.

Your after taste lingers on my tongue through the day, only making me crave you more often.

You leave me with a buzz, an intense feeling that I can accomplish many great things that day.

And then you are gone, you have departed, been drained.

Our short time has gone,

Yet I know in my mind that soon enough,

I will go back to that shop,

I will see you there,

And all I’ll have to do is ask,

Ask for another cup of coffee.
