a love letter to the voice inside my head

to the voice inside my head,

do you take pleasure in telling me that I am alone?

alone.

alone.

alone.

are you happy when my lungs collapse in on themselves and my eyes burn with tears and my hands shake?

when my voice shakes and I can't look you in the eye,

do you love it?

do you love how weak I am?

do you love how you make me feel?

Y O U are the reason i cannot speak in front of others.

Y O U are why i keep to myself,

telling me i am useless.

and idiotic.

and ugly.

and not enough.

Please. I beg of you to stop, for I am too tired to go on anylonger.

sincerely,

the girl you haunt
