Love Lost

By the way my life goes, It has a mind of own, Similar to that of nature. Nobody knows, What will happen in the end. The clouds carry my rain, A rush of thoughts That I can no longer handle Raging through my brain. What is this all about? The minor earthquakes are not What gets to me. It’s the aftershock, That which I have fought Time and time again. The buildings that Took me so long to create, Now tumble down in after math. In my despair I sat, Contemplating my expensive loss. The raindrops that I now pour down Reflect the old me and what I have lost. The sun- That my world revolved around, Is forever lost in the remnants of the storm. When the rushing water floods my brain, It ruptures like a violent thunderstorm. There’s not much I can do, So let it rain, And bring on the natural disaster It's amazing how just one Element entices the next like dominos; That how quickly things can dissipate to nothing. But I know we’ve had a good run, Forever in my heart, memories will stay. Through thick and thin I am forced to push through it all. This is my life, And it deserves nothing less than a grin Because this is yet another remora I have overcome.
