A Love Lost
A love to fight for, a love to ensnare.
A love to bring triumph, wherever our hearts dare.
She brought me great hope, but left me dispair. I once thought that nothing could ever compare.
A love for the ages, but has gone contorted.
A love of my life, but love has become distorted. Love's great extacy has since been aborted.
A love lost is better than to have loved at all. But it leaves us barren and in a drunken fall.
To get back up is the hardest of all. We must wash out our feelings and begin to crawl.
A heart mends in an imperfect way; It seals the breach day by day.
A love lost is with great displeasure, but the strength of our soul is far beyond measure.
