Love Lost
I’m holding onto pieces of my past
My broken heart coerced me to resent
Thinking of the time I saw you last
Longing for the chance to mask your scent
I bid farewell to time I lost with tears
The bittersweet, atonement of your lies
Such struggle I have born throughout these years
You’d think I was the master of disguise
I’m drowning in the sorrow of ‘love lost’
My plea for help is swallowed by the waves
A grief so deep I cannot count the cost
The painful memories take me to my grave
Some say that time can heal a shattered soul
But only God can truly make one whole
