Love Me

Why can't you love me for me

And not for what I might be

Not for what I have done

But for my life that's begun

All I ever wanted was you

To accept and love me, it's true

I never knew that was a crime

But now I've wasted all your time

All I wanted was a family life

But was oucasted to only strive

To finally have her father's acceptance

But only troubled him with her presence

To fight for her father's love

But she never seemed to be enough
