To Love, From Me

Why must you be so hard to find?

And how can I know when finally, you are found?

You blow kisses, you make hearts,

And yet when I lean towards you

To feel your warmth, to feel your grace,

You turn around and I feel only darkness, and despair.

My heart reaching to find even a hint of your smile.

But instead I find only emptiness.

Why do I even try?

Why do I seek to find you when all I find is hate?

It would be because one day, I will catch you

One day, I will feel your warmth, your grace.

I try because I will feel your gentle touch and hear your voice.

You are what I want.

You are what I seek.

So please stop running,

For my heart might just break.

And isn't the heart the one thing that you want?

Don't let me burn,

Don't make me wait.

I want you,

Take me, and bring me home.

But for now, I will wait,

And wait until you come.

So long, my greatest joy.

So long, my Love.

I'll wait for you.
