Love, me

Dear mom,

Before I cried, before I had a name,

You unhesitantly gave me your love.

When into the world, I finally came,

Your strong love remained, I could be sure of.

As more time elapsed, you kept by my side

through the good, the bad, whatever it be.

Always the first one to lead me and guide,

and always the last to give up on me.

As graduation begins to draw near,

I fearfully wait for moving out day,

the tragic day you are no longer here

and I will then have to pave my own way.

How does one make it without love like yours?

I hope to never know, that I am sure.

Love, me
