Love Is More Than Sentiment

Relationships can start as a heavenly birth

Or as hell on earth hid at first by mirth

The reasons why

Can take up all space from here to the sky

But in very many cases

The base is

That one or more of the parties involved

Do not know what love is at all

They mostly think to their relationships detriment

That love is purely a sentiment

This misconception

Gives inception

To the imperfection of the words

Because I love you becoming passwords

For getting fun

Without regard for the other one

On the other hand

In a perfect land

Both parties see

That in reality

Love is a principle that guides

The way they live their lives

And makes everything they do

Not just for them but for the other person too

When they this love embrace

The words because I love you become explanations for acts of grace

So now we see

How important love can be

In building good relationships large or small

Or any relationship at all

Almost like the binding of a book

It keeps them bound together and running smoothly as a brook

It keeps them all from detriment

Cause love is more than sentiment
