Love of my Life

It wasn’t the usual love at first sight,

But I certainly know that he is the love of my life.

The way his beautiful long lushes bat when he looks me in the eyes,

Assures me in everyway—that I’ve met my partner for life.

It’s how small and delicate I feel swimming in his large arms,

With his even larger heart that radiates out of his chest and talks to my soul;

It is the unconditional love that he provides…

For he is my home when I am away from home,

My happiness in all the world’s madness,

The sunlight to my dark and dreary days,

He’s the cheeseburger to my french fries,

And half my mind, body and soul,

My protector and warrior, my best friend for life,

I love him with everything in me, the one I cannot live without.
