Love, My Need

if I were stranded

and this island of isolation carried me

but I chose one thing to be handed

it would be something I held closely

love

love is all I could need

there is desire, sadness, fierceness

pain

but nothing but love can make me strong

to survive

to strive

and be on this island alive

and with this love

my worries would lessen

my struggle diminished

for the only thing to make me powerful

with nothing to give

will only be love
