Love My Parts

Parts of me wants to be with you but the other

Part of me is scared to give you that much power over me

I see your smile and part of me smiles to but

Another part is saddened by the fact  that your smile will never last

I've been broken time and time again

So loving me is like pieces to a puzzle that will never be whole

There are so many parts of this peson that I am

This girl i am has been so battered and abused i wouldn't know who she was

Even if she was looking back at me in the mirror with a name tag on

But to love me you have to love my parts

Even the part of me that is utterly distugsted with my reflection

You have to love my parts

Even the part of me that will hold you at arms lenght  and my heart just out of your reach

Loving the parts if me that are insecure will not be easy

I'm sorry you had to love all the parts of me that hate myself

I'm so sorry you have to love so many broken pieces of me

I find myself rising on star to change time

But all we have is here and now

You can love me and all my parts or you can forget i exist and let your memories of me fade away

But i couldn't just be friends with you

I've given you too much of  myself to you

I've given you half my pulse, half heart, my heart now half beats for you  i heard someone say

You have to love soft enough not to duplicate scars but

Hard enough to convince me im not still a victim

There will be days that i will doubt all the love you have

There will be days when i want to crawl in a ball and die

There will be days when i actually try

There will be days when i hide all the pain behind my smile

But these are all parts if me  and

To Love Me You Have To Love My Parts Even In All My Darkness
