Love Note For New York #1

New York Bowery lights, How did I fall in love with you? Desolate Upper East side main Street on a cold night with the ghost of the Velvet Underground playing in my ears How could I fall into love with something that’s never spoken a word to me Except for in the echo of the collective voice formed by a myriad crowd, And the pitter patter of hustle and bustle of others on their way to their nine to five nightmares; If only I could dance on top of the Washington Square arch without a worry, Because I'm cognizant that within the heart of love lies branches of unknown woes That I am ready for.
