For Love of the Ocean
To the beautiful sea,
My daddy shall now be.
Holding no more pain,
For the cancer has seen its last sight.
Everyone here truly knew him
Knew when something was just not right
The life had been taken from those eyes
That had been at sea for some time.
The doctors gave him the news
That in return brought on the blues.
He went and made up his mind
And took cancer on his own line.
All of you here knew him
And in return knew it was expected.
For he had lived his life from day to day
As Bob Marley once said, “I did it my way.”
