A Love Like An Ocean
I tapped my fingers awaiting the approval of flesh on the table that Jesus prepared for me.
I craved a love like an ocean, but my standards allowed me to accept a stream.
I needed Jesus, but I craved the world.
I starved for the food of the earth, but I was designed to be made full by the bread of life.
Nothing on my behalf has been done for me to rightly receive this inheritance.
Yet I have accepted this overflowing amount of love.
In the process, I have been given the honor of seeing Jesus turn brokenness into beauty.
I have viewed neglect into newness and sorrow into saving.
I have seen tsunamis turn into calm waters by His hands.
I am left in awe with no other option but to delight in His grace.
I find it difficult to find doubt in the Seamster of the seas.
I find it simple to find hope in the Maker of the mountains.
I find it exhausting to search for faults in the Creator of the countries.
I find it fulfilling to seek peace in the Artist of it all.
I have been hand chosen to experience His infinities.
But I, nor does any other being get to steal credit for His power in the slightest.
I feel privileged to be a wandering bystander of God's work for us.
He remains enough for me. I am no longer starving. He has made me full.
