Love or lust

For me love is a must

Living without it is unjust

It's like crust

To the pizza that is life

Without it you fall apart

Put it in your shopping cart

You need it to start

Without love

What is living

I thought love was a given

A godsend

It's a gift

You have to earn

And it's hard

For those who never learn

Because who's teaching

Without love

Your heart is screaming

With love

Your heart is gleaming

I don't want an erection

I want a connection

I want a relation

But it feels like an animation

It was made not born

It's candy not corn

I want the real deal

Where I get to wake up

And just reach out to feel

And find the person I love most

The one I hold close

The one I chose

My beautiful rose

My lovely flower

Who I gave power over me

It wasn't taken unwillingly

But granted freely

I want to wake up next to her

She is my teacher

Not scholastic or academic

But Romantic
