Love is Overrated

Chorus

Love is overrated like lungs, socks, and fingernails.

You give and you take, try not to fake.

Love and love back, forget about tact.

No, i don’t need love.

Verse 1

Love is overrated just like lungs

Lug the air in, hug the air out.

You only need it to survive, so what’s there to pout about?

Who really wants to sing anyway?

Verse 2

Love is overrated just like socks.

They only keep your feet from rubbing down the blocks.

All that woven wool, keeping your toes from the cool.

I guess I’ll just go barefoot.

Verse 3

love is overrated just like fingernails.

Why would you need them to cover your back from needle stabbings,

And protect you better still from door slammings.

Should I just take the bruise?
