Love is an Oxymoron

Love is oxymoronic

Stubborn, yet soft

A thunderous wave that foams at your feet

A gentle push that's heavy with encouragement

Quick, yet slow

A snap of emotion that's slow to simmer

A distinct choice that's somehow unsure of itself

Simple, yet complex

A small smile that speaks thousands

A single word that wraps around you like silk

Love may be oxymoronic

And understanding it may be difficult

But in no way

Does it equate abuse
