Love poem

Dear Amelia,

I think of you when I am down, I remember how I feel.

I remember how I try but never succeed, then try and  make my heart heal.

I never give up because I am determined, but I always come in third.

And when there is eventually a chance, you fly away like a bird.

You are the prettiest girl I have ever seen, so I try not stare.

But when I catch myself in the act, I say “Just look over there.

I love you for who you are, and not just what you have,

I try to get together with you, but then we’re split in halve.

I always ask the the question to see if the answer changed,

but when it’s responded, the answer is still unchanged.

When I found you I saw a chance in the brightest daylight,

But then someone gets in the way, and takes away the bright.

It makes me kinda sad when you prank me and I fall for it,

Because on the inside, I feel like a knit wit.

I never give up because I have a dream,

That one day, you and I will be a team.

                                                       Sincerely, Cole Morales
