Love poem that held something

I wish I could write a love poem

that held some wisdoms worth,

but it seems the wisest fables

already fill the books on earth.

Who knows the pain I’ve suffered

or the fissures that scar my heart?

Is there a need for another legend

about lives loves torn apart?

Will the stars go out

or the sun not shine

if my stories remain unheard?

Will the tides depart

or the birds not sing

in my heart bleeds undeterred?

I wish I could write a love poem

that held some wisdoms worth,

but is seems I’ve lost the reason

having hope of love’s rebirth.

Will the stars go out,

or will the tide depart

if my words go untold?

I wish I knew how to write a love poem,

that held some wisdoms worth,

but it seems that ambition

leaks just like my bleeding heart.
