Since you’ve been off at war,

My love for you has grown more and more

I check my emails a million times a day,

And by my phone I always stay

At nights I look up at the sky,

and pray that time will fly by

I know this will all be worth my while,

When you come home and I see that smile

You’ve taught me about patience and staying on track,

And for that I will always have your back

You told me being alone is your biggest fear,

It is you that has taught me about being strong,

What once were tears of fear and sorrow,
