Love Potion
My heart, pitcher full of emotion,
Now cracked, dripping drops of love potion;
An hourglass of time a wasting,
Choking the bitter truth I’m tasting;
One can only hold onto what’s yours,
Earned from an endless bag full of chores;
Time’s running out, the pitcher’s half full,
I’m tired, feel the push and the pull;
How does one fill the pitcher back up?
Some extra love, even just a cup;
Anything given is a treasure,
It’s something you can’t even measure;
I must hope and pray before my day,
Someone will fill my pitcher this way;
And before my hourglass is through,
Love potion will make some dreams come true.
