Love is a Promise

You told me to go

But I don't think so

You see, I made a promise

Love is a promise,

And promises are

Forever.

My promise was not to you -

You never knew

But between me and God

I made a promise.

God knows it's hard,

God knows it hurts,

But waiting is not always in vain,

And maybe someday...

I won't walk away,

I will be here for you

Until God says yes or no

Because I made a promise.

I will wait for you

Because

Love is a promise,

And promises are

Forever.
