This is Love, Right?

Incapable of cheating, incapable of leaving, Because I Love You, even when my heart is bleeding.

In disbelief I ask for the truth, a guilty nod was all it took.

Broken after reading your texts, unbearable pain from what you did next.

A forceful swing you swung at me, yet I still cried and pleaded, “Please don’t leave me.”

Believing no matter the pain, no matter the cost, against all odds I fought for us.

Love

The cause of mixed emotions, the driving force between choices, the arbiter of right and wrong, the blinding element where I know you don’t belong.

Because I Love You I’ll tell myself it doesn’t hurt, you make me happy for all it’s worth.

Because I Love You I’ll forgive you, you say you still love me and of course I believe you.

Because I Love You I’ll take you back, it’s easy to forget when you think you need someone like that.

I’d rather deal, I know I’ll heal

I’d rather cry, when you lie

I’d rather conceal, who cares what I feel

I’d rather die, than hear you say, “bye.”

Incapable of cheating, incapable of leaving, Because I Love You, even when my heart is bleeding.
