Love is a Serpent

Love burns the yearning heart, and curses the hope-filled soul. It shows no mercy, yields to no word. Like a train, metal and unfeeling, Love hurtles forward and strikes. Regardless of intent or wish, the emotion itself shows no concern. Love bites, love burns, love stings, love hurts. Like a snake, it bites without warning, and its venom seeps throughout the body. Curable unto itself, love is its own antidote. Looping in on itself, into infinity.
