Love in the Shadows
The sound of his voice makes my knees quiver.
The red in his lips, the feel of his touch
I can’t get enough, I want it so much.
He calls my name, I begin to shiver
You are a dream that never delivers.
But dream I will always, lost, out of touch.
This pain is insane, I hate it so much.
But water, like love, flows deep like rivers.
I am a shadow, you are a street
I am left here waiting, heart on my sleeve
I would love for you to make me believe.
The darkness of midnight is where we meet.
Catching my breath let me breathe when you breathe.
Earning your love would be the greatest treat.
