Love For Squeak

Our love is odd to eyes that see

And the blind would be missing out

When you’re in the grass sitting next to me

I see a love that makes me shout

Some might shout for meaning

But we just yell for fun

Mistake after mistake

But with you I know I’ve won

I hold you like my trophy

And you love to hold me back

I gasped when I first saw you

And never felt the lack

I’m fed by these emotions

Never had to implore

You’d give me your tenderness

But I don’t ask for more

Cause your gentle heart lives on a lake

Being rid of it’s algae and snakes

I give you this poem on my healthy plate

and for this you don’t have to wait
