Love that transcends time

Once upon a time,

Cinderella did decree

I will never love a man

Or Prince Charming

Cinderella was a funny girl

The people would agree

No one could believe her

For such outrageous claims

For in this time it was unheard of

A sin punishable by death

A woman could not love a woman

For it would mean their deaths

Witch they cried and jeered

While cinderella laughed and pranced

Hands wrapped around another’s merrily

Trotting through the town lips stained red

Slim waists matching together perfectly

For a lipstick stained kiss

Dresses swishing as they would dance through town

Until the fateful day

Cinderella did mock the prince

And both were hanged in revenge

For the prince wouldn’t let anyone else have her

So Cinderella died with the woman she loved

They would find each other again though with different names

In a different time

When love wasn’t a sin

Where men walked hand in hand

And women flocked together

A love that would transcend time.
