Love is Unconditional

I love you

We may not of worked out

But I still love you

And you still love me

We promised each other we would

we always treated each other with kindness

We didn’t end in unfaithfulness, fighting, or hate

We ended in hugs and “I’m sorry it didn’t work out”’s

I still love you because you were always kind

You held doors open for me

Took me on dates

Held my bags when they were heavy

And brought me popsicles when I had my wisdom teeth taken out

You never went through my phone

I didn’t go through yours

We never had a reason to want to

Trust was something I really appreciated

Something I later found out isn’t always in relationships

My next relationship only made me love you more

I don’t want you back

It wouldn’t work out

But you treated me better

A whole lot better

Love isn’t constant fighting

Love is not crying myself to sleep because he is talking to her again

Love is most certainly not

Asking someone “to just change”

You showed me love

You showed me love is caring for one another

You showed me love is never want to hurt one another

You showed me love is living for the smiles you give each other

The tingly feeling in your stomach

The goosebumps you get the first time you kiss

You showed me

Love isn’t a bad thing

Love is

Still thinking about you whenever I hear your favorite band

Still waving to each other when you see each other in the grocery store

Still wanting them to be happy

Love is unconditional
