Love, Unconditionally

Fitted for two, yet never tame

Love cannot fit within a frame.

It crumbles not, and hides no shame

and no two days ever feel the same.

For the poor, they're rich with glee,

Because they're loved, unconditionally.

In Noah's days, this Godly notion

through the turtle dove was set in motion.

From thence it freely would flow,

and the sprout would vastly grow.

For the Christians, by faith they see

that they are loved, unconditionally.

In this world so torn by hate,

through problems that are both small and great,

friendships last and lovers mate

because of this one holy state.

For all, our problems will flee

if we love, unconditionally.

Putting their needs above our own

is where love is truly shown.

Malice is bruised, and painfully will groan

where the waters of love had freely flown.

The true understanding of friendship was shown to me

only when I loved, unconditionally.
