Love vs. Exploitation
The stars in the sky
they do not compare
for the stars in their eyes
create a much brighter flare
You’ll feel like they hung
the moon and the stars
looking up everywhere you go
no matter how far
There have always been butterflies
no, make that a zoo
because they constantly show
the reasons they love you
From flowers to calls
and catching your fall
they will never let you
seem like you are nothing at all
There’s laughs and there’s tears
especially when they’re not near
“because I love you”
are words you constantly hear
These words are associated
with true love and true actions
if down more than happy
you need to cause a reaction
Love is real, love is raw
but some people get it all wrong
“because I love you”
should sound like a song.
It’s not an excuse
it’s not an explanation
for there is a fine line between
love and exploitation
