Love as We See Fit
Love is not patient
And it is not always kind,
But it floods you.
Fills you to the brim with warmth
overflowing till it seems expanse-less.
It is frustrating
But ever so worth it.
Every cell in our body craving it.
There is no life without love;
that sometimes cruel feeling
leaving you crumbling upon
the cool tile beneath,
Disheveled by disbelief and pain.
The pain but temporary lesson
A stepping stone toward better loves
A fresh lovers hand gripping your hope
Spreading their warmth twofold
Empty is life lived in the
belief that one can survive without
love.
