In love, what is that

The greatest delight
Knowing it hurts
Recognizing the pain
As though it
Never was present
In my morning songs
With those fingers intertwined
Though we hummed along
My fingers tapped the heart
In doubt of its rhythm
Unaware of faithful pleas
Living a life
In self discovery
With each touch,
Each nimble kiss
Was found a newer thief
Of the growing hunger
To always hold close
This ticking time bomb
That inevitable end
