The Love Within

I see hope.

I see light.

I see a love

For life that might

Hide deep inside

His heart,

Beneath pain and sorrow

That tears him apart.

I hear cries.

I hear sobs.

I hear breaking

Hearts that rob

Her of happiness

And joy that she desires,

But always fades--

An extinguished fire.

I reach out.

I help them see

How glorious and wonderful

Life can be.

Self-confidence and self-worth

Are my only goal.

What makes me beautiful

Is my healing soul.
