I am a poet.
I write to have my words take
reign over your attention
and speak to you without ever
physically being in front of you.
I write to make each word
bore into your eyes
until you can no longer
resist but to read on.
I write to give affordable
entertainment to anyone,
struggling or rich.
I write to sympathize,
to hold each one of my reader's
hand and encode messages
in and between the lines.
I write the tears my eyes
could not carry,
and the joy my chest
could not contain.
I write to pour myself onto a paper,
raw and pure,
letting the gold spill from
my hand to your eyes.
I am a poet,
and I write for you.
