Love you true, Lij.Honey,
Love you true, Lij.
Honey, hold me close.
Hold me with both arms,
Tell me it's alright and sing me that song we love.
But you say that you love me and you say that you want me
Then you say that you don't love me and that you don't want me.
I don't know how to be yours Lij.
I thought I did.
I'd run right back from Carolina and I'd run right back from New Orleans.
I can't forget that feeling when you held me and all the songs you sang to me.
I'd run right back to Tennessee just for you to hold me close, hold me with both arms.
I've got time, I've got love. Got confidence to rise above. Give me a minute to hold my girl.
But there will be another one.
There will be a better one. Someone new to hold on to and he will be a better one.
No matter what, I'll love you true Lij.
