A Love Like Yours
I write things in thought of you.
I also wonder, “Do you think of me too?”
I love you now, I’ll love you tomorrow.
I hate the pain, the hurt, the sorrow.
To me our love was one of a kind.
I’d think of your body, heart, soul, and mind.
The beauty and love within my heart,
All came from you, from the very start.
Our love wasn’t meant to fester and burn.
I want it back, but it’s something I want to earn.
Just like a bird you’ll fly away.
Me wishing I’ll get to fly with you again someday.
You know a love is real when others see it shine.
A love like yours and a love like mine.
“Don’t let this end” I asked you please,
Because there’s no loving love that’s and easy breeze.
What makes us strong and something we can show,
Is that every day our love continues to grow.
There’s no such thing as perfect love,
But you’re my angel sent from up above.
I do feel pain and I do feel sorrow.
I promise to love you like there’s no tomorrow.
