Love Yourself
You say that you love me
That we were meant to be
You say you never tried so hard
Only with me
But I know your kind
Some I’ve fallen for
Some I steered clear
I know when it comes down to it
Loneliness persuaded you here
You speak of a girl
The girl who’s heart that you broke
You revel in the guilt
But deep down it’s your only hope
Hope that your soul could ever be loved
Even amidst all the dark stuff
See you always believed you deserved the world
And that anyone in your way deserved to be shoved
And this is how I can know why I left
This is why I feel no regret
Cause you could only love once you were alone with just yourself
And this is because you never learned to love yourself
