Love Yourself

Dear me,

You’ll regret this you know.
Letting time slip by;
it’ll pass in a flash.
You’re leaving soon.

You’ll hate this you know.
All these hours you work
for a chance at more school.
You’ll be there soon.

You’ll doubt this you know.
The path you have chosen.
The choices you make.
You’ll know soon.

You’ll fear this you know.
The newness of it all.
The unfamiliar sights
you’ll love soon.

You’ll need this you know.
The comfort of home,
your friends and family.
You’ll miss them soon.

Don’t regret anything.
Don’t hate a moment.
Don’t doubt a second.
Don’t fear the future.
Don’t need the past.

Love yourself.
